Volunteer Opportunities Available

Booth Volunteer
Category: Office Work / Community Development
Volunteer will represent Red Cross by manning display booths and answering questions about Red Cross programs, services and events. Hours of commitment depends on booth location and event.



Filing Clerk
Category: Office Work / Community Development
Volunteer will help every other week with filing and sorting of general business forms and paperwork.



Management Office Receptionist
Category: Office Work / Community Development
Answer phones, take messages, some filing. Volunteers needed daily Monday through Friday, 8am – 4:30pm.



Office Work
Category: Office Work / Community Development
Data entry, file, type, answer phones, and run errands.



Public Speaker
Category: Office Work / Community Development
Volunteer will represent Red Cross at speaking engagements to local external groups. The Community Development department will provide volunteer speaker with member handbook and two-hour training program. Hours of commitment vary.



Special Events Volunteer
Category: Office Work / Community Development
The Development office hosts several special events throughout the year, such as the Lakekland Chapter Golf Classic and other fundraising activities. Volunteers are needed to assist planning events and to help out on event day.



Blood Services Volunteers

Help welcome blood donors, monitor them and serve them refreshments during Red Cross blood drives

Transportation Driver

Provide door-to-door transportation service (vehicles provided) to elderly (60+) and any individual with a disability. See Attached Document




Disaster Action Team
Category: Disaster Services
The Disaster Action Team is a dedicated group of Lakeland Chapter volunteers who receive specialized training and provide relief to those suffering from disasters in the counties of Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Menominee, Oconto and Shawano, the Lakeland Chapter's six county jurisdiction. Anyone 16 years or older is welcome to join our team! See Attached Document for more Info:




Health & Safety Instructor
Category: Health & Safety
An Authorized Instructor who freely chooses to offer his or her time to instruct chapter-sponsored courses with no expectations of remuneration for the work or service done. The Health & Safety Services instructor is member of a select group of trained and authorized individuals, who reflect the standards and ideals of the American Red Cross by teaching and imparting knowledge and skills consistent with American Red Cross policies, procedures, and guidelines.




NURSE ASSISTANT TRAINING INSTRUCTOR - Day

The purpose of the job is to demonstrate and teach quality patient care to nurse aide candidates in both the classroom and clinical setting. (this is a part-time paid position)
